Oliveoilseminars.com starting in 2017, offer six scholarships every year, to young people that have demonstrated their real interest in olive oil, the milling process and the organoleptic evaluation process.
Since May 2017 a call has been published for young people interested to follow a four month training program at the University of Jaen /Spain. Among the applicants, Ms Irini Kokkolaki, was selected and awarded the scholarship. She had successfully completed the Oliveoilseminars.com training seminar for Olive Oil Tasters. She is expected to complete the course by the end of 2017.
For the year 2017-2018 the following six scholarships in three categories are being announced by Oliveoilseminars.com.
Four Basic Training Scholarships On quality Olive Oil
Four scholarships per annum are offered to graduates or final year students of Universities or Technical Training Institutions , in fields related to olive oil, mostly chemists and agronomists.
The scholarships include free participation for four people in both Seminars for olive oil “A” and “B” , for 2017 – 2018. Criteria for candidates’ selection include: field of studies, graduation thesis, work experience or other activities that emphasize the candidates’ interest in olive oil. The selection process for the four candidates starts on the 1st of October 2017 and is completed by March 1st 2018. A printed CV sent in an envelope addressed Scholarships-Oliveoilseminars V. One Olive Oil Taster’s Scholarship (4 months)
One scholarship per annum for the free participation in the four month- long seminar for Olive Oil Tasters worth €1370. Information is available on our website under “Tasters Training 2018”. For the selection of the candidate completion of one of both Olive Oil Training Cycles – A’ and B’, studies, work experience or anything else that demonstrates the candidates’ serious interest in olive oil will be taken into consideration.

One Scholarship for Jaen University Spain (4 months)
One scholarship per annum providing free training at a specialized department of university of Jaen in Spain leads to the acquisition of a “Specialist in Tasting Virgin Olive Oils”. The duration of studies is four months September 2018 to December 2018 and the value of the scholarship is €3200.
For the selection of the candidate completion of one of both Olive Oil Training Cycles – A’ and B’, participation in an Olive Taster’s Training Seminar in 2017 or 2018 , studies, graduation thesis, work experience or anything else that demonstrates the candidates’ serious interest in olive oil will be taken into consideration.
